European & EU legislation introduced energy certification to comply with the European Energy Performance Buildings Directive in October of 2008. In order to ensure it's compliance with the directive Britain has committed to reduce its CO2 emissions by 80% by the year 2050.

As our non domestic energy assessors speacialise in the commercial licenced and leisure sector they are expert assessors of:

Energy performance certificates are created using the 'National Calculation Method' (NCM) which was developed to ensure that Britain is able to meet the guidelines laid out in the 'Energy Performance of Buildings Directive' (EPBD).
Using the National Calculation Method (NCM) a non domestic energy assessor can calculate a buildings (other than a residential dwellings) compliance with the current building regulations as defined by the department of  'Communities & Local Government (CLG).
By comparing the energy consumption of an existing building or subject premises with that of a comparable 'notional building' as defined by the National Calculation Method (NCM) using standarised data sets by an approved simulation software which include:
